There are five beautiful parks in our community spanning over seven acres. Each park has its own vibe. The weather is great – come out and play!
BLUEBONNET PARK
Location: Located at W. Broade St., across from the Joe Bates Dr. entrance.
Size: ~1.5 Acres
Bluebonnet Park is about 1.5 acres of open field, perfect for playing Frisbee or fetch with Fido. There are two benches and trees, which will continue to grow and ultimately provide a nice shady area to sit and relax.
Bluebonnet Park gets its name from the flowers that pop up every spring. The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas.
INDEPENDENCE PARK
Location: Corner of Longhorn Cavern Rd. and Chalk Knob Manor
Size: ~1.5 Acres
Independence Park, so-named because it is a great place to sit and watch the City’s fireworks on the 4th of July, is about 1.5 acres of open green space. Important features of this park:
- Mail kiosk
- Pet waste station
- Open space to play and relax
- Benches
- Trash can
FRIENDSHIP PARK
Location: Corner of Joe Bates Dr. and Sawyer Trail
Size: ~1.3 Acres
Friendship Park gets its name because this is where kids come to play and hang out. Important features at this park:
- Playscape for the younger kids
- Pet waste station
- Open space to play and relax
- Benches
- Trash can
SUNSET PARK
Location: Corner of Buttermilk Ln. and Schefer St.
Size: ~1 Acre
Sunset Park is one of our newest parks and so-named because it is the park that is furthest west in our community, making it a great place to see the sunset every evening (they are spectacular). It came online in the summer of 2017. Important features of this park:
- Grills
- Park Tables and Benches
- Pet waste station
- Trash can
- Open space to play and relax
MOCKINGBIRD PARK
Location: Block 600 of Jess Maynard Trail
Size: ~2 Acres
Mockingbird Park is one of our oldest parks, but well used because of the pool. Important features of this park are:
- Pool
- Pet waste stations
- Benches
- Open area to play and relax
- Trail
OTHER LAND
The Association owns the parks and several landscape lots, as well as the water reservoir at W. Broade St. across the entrance at Jess Maynard Trail.
